Oh, right.

This is why people have kids. Now we get it.

Grass. A chicken's natural food source.

Contemplating the lonely life of a chicken.

Happy Halloween! BWAWK!

No actual chickens were harmed during the production of this post.

Mama (mamamama)

She started this week. I know they are just sounds, that she doesn't really mean me, but it just about breaks my heart every time anyway.

We love to vote.

Ruby, on her way to vote in her first election. She is PSYCHED.

We voted here.

Clearly, enjoying a little voting high. And keeping her choice top secret, as is her perogative.

Now how did that get there?
Happy Voting!

Bossy chickens.

Hungry goats.

Creepy corn mazes. (Corn mazes are always creepy).

The End.

Pumpkin Patch, Part II

There were animals at the Pumpkin Patch. Pigs, for example.

Ferocious pigs.

Ouch!

We did not feed the pigs.

Post Nap Bubbies

This baby,

this adorable, gorgeous, peaches 'n cream deliciousness,

light of my life,

has not pooped in three days. Who has the time? That's what she'd like to know.

Five Months

Dear Ruby,

You are five months old today! You should look happier about that.

Big, big things have happened over the last month. You started blowing raspberries, and touching and grabbing faces. Grabbing everything, really. You're scoping out something grabbable right now.

Grabbing! You are a very determined baby. And something of a menace lately. Nothing is safe from your sticky little hands. Also, you are never still. Never. There is way to much to see, touch, or shove in your mouth. You licked grass yesterday. Then tried to cram fistfuls of it into your mouth. Then you started rolling down the hill Mommy inadvertently placed you on. On which I placed you. But no worries! I caught you after two or three fun-filled rolls. We laughed and laughed.

Speaking of rolling, you continue to roll both ways. You have been scooting backwards for weeks now, which frustrates you greatly. You never get closer to the thing you want, only farther and farther away. Poor thing. It's funny but sad, you know? Of course you do. You're living it.

I know I'm biased, but you're the best baby in the world. Seriously. You're curious, funny, and look at those cheeks! This family will never go hungry with nummy cheeks like those around.

We love you more than all the cupcakes in the sky, sweet bubbies.

BMT (tm)

This post was going to be about how much Ruby loves Sophie the Giraffe (she's eating her brain! love!) and how you're all getting them when you have babies. But then I noticed it. The Baby Muffin Top. And I had some nibbling to do.

Nibble.

We are so not ready

Rubyliciousness: now featuring movies! Also, we are so screwed.
