Halloween the Second

Ruby was a cowgirl, but we wanted her to be a robot. We made her a robot costume with lights on the front that changed color. Lights!

But she was terrified of it. So cowgirl it was.

She even had a horse. She refused to wear the hat or carry the horse. Both of which are kind of necessary to the whole cowgirl success of the costume.

Slowly I lower the hat.

Slowly she crumples to the ground.

A fun night was had by all.

Eric wants to see the robot costume - maybe he can borrow it next year. She's so funny!! She makes a very cute cowgirl, with or without the necessary accessories. ; ) Did you go trick or treating?

We went to a Halloween potluck at Joy and Dave's - lots of kids, all dressed up, most of the parents were too. Then we came home to hand out candy, but then abandoned the bowl to take Ruby for a walk down the main street in our neighborhood. That street goes crazy for Halloween, there were tons of people out, it was 75 degrees...really fun. I love Halloween with a kid.
I think this comment is going to look like Tom wrote it, but it was me. Emily.

I laughed out loud when I saw the picture of her crumpling to the ground! She does make a cute little cowgirl. Glad you had a fun Halloween. Thanks for the pictures, we love them.

Hee hee, I really like the crumpling to the ground picture. Ah Ruby. Nobody can accuse her of not having a mind of her own!
